Align Chart and Narrative.
Get the Odds, Analogues, and Timing.
Integrate and Synthesize with Other Sources.
VecViz on the OpenBB Workspace helps active investors by:
- Systematically identifying and scoring price channels (Technicals)
- Linking LLM sourced and characterized narrative elements to them (Fundamentals)
- Generating price probability distributions from the channels via machine learning (Quant)
- Putting it all alongside the many other apps on OpenBB, all in reach of the OpenBB Copilot
The VNA Target Price: Where Chart Meets Narrative
VecViz’s Vector Narrative Alignment (VNA) methodology finds where a ticker’s price should be relative to the center of its channel trajectories based upon an LLM sourced and characterized narrative timeline, with adjustments for cross ticker consideration of excess LLM bullish/ bearish bias vs. the market, and our Vector Model’s 6m-1yr base case probability distributions. Use the MCP tools we provide to get VNA Target Price odds by forward date from our Price Probability widget, and to adjust the VNA Target Price for your view of the ticker’s narrative.
The V-Score Spider Chart: See How Any Ticker Stacks Up
The V-Score is VecViz’s machine learning based ranking of expected forward price return. The Spider Chart provides transparency into its drivers. Each axis shows the percentile rank of a key channel or probability feature. The two dashed polygons show the closest historical analogs from the highest and lowest return quintile bins — your bull and bear case in one view, for each of six time horizons ranging from 1d to 1yr forward.
You Also Get
Price Probability Forecast
Vector Model price probability percentiles to the downside and upside that reflect the jumpy and asymmetric nature of volatility. Estimates provided for six time forward horizons ranging from 1d to 1yr. Price probability percentiles for bell-curve based Sigma model also provided, for comparison purposes. Great for framing VNA and other price targets.
VaR and OaR History
Historical 95 and 99 percentile values for Value at Risk (VaR) and it’s counterpart to the upside, Opportunity at Risk (OaR). Provided for both VecViz’s Vector Model and bell curve based Sigma. Great for framing VNA and other price targets.
Option Fair Value Estimates
Vector Model-derived option fair value estimates across a wide range of strikes and expiries. Great for comparing the Vector Model price probability distributions of two tickers.
VV Data Table
Structured tabular output of ~13 months of daily history for several VecViz metrics. Filter and sort manually or using the MCP tool we provide. Easy to merge with other data sources via the Copilot.
Built For
Our Methodology
Our methodology is novel but it reflects several established quant finance principles, and the 25 years of instituional buy-side investment experience of VecViz’s founder:
- 1) The signal density of high volume prices (read more)
- 2) The alpha in standardized chart geometry (read more and see comparison)
- 3) Systematically measured support and resistance (read more)
- 4) Emphasis on more recent data, scaling of deviations, the central limit theorem, factor risk (read more)
Our methodology also has four years of out of sample performance behind it, which we extensively document and update on a monthly basis (except VNA due to its recent introduction and reliance on LLMs).
